Wait a minute! Hilary Clinton, when asked about Dick Durbin's recent remarks, said that she didn't want to talk about that issue...but wanted to talk about her new bill.
Yet when Karl Rove, speaking to a group of Conservatives, voiced his observations of the different responses to 911 by Liberals versus Conservatives...suddenly she has an issue she will talk about. She is demanding an apology from Rove for his remarks, and that he resign.
I don't get it, Senator Clinton! You don't want to discuss Dick Durbin's remarks but you are eager to discuss Karl Rove's remarks. What a double standard.
Karl Rove's remarks were made in a private conference with a group of Conservatives. Durbin's remarks were made ON THE SENATE FLOOR!!! On the record for historical archival...
Rove's remarks were aimed at Liberals and Conservatives, descriptors that are dependent upon a person's behavior, voting history, and worldview. The Liberal and Conservative responses to 911 have been documented by their own words, the press, and their respective voting records.
Durbin's remarks were aimed at a SPECIFIC company of people...the American soldier...namely the ones who are directly in charge of the detainees in Gitmo.
Do America a favor. Get out of politics, Hilary. They may hire you at Saturday Night Live because everything you say is comedy and not to be taken seriously.
